The 20th BET Awards are to take place on June 28, 2020. The ceremony will celebrate achievements in entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and movies. It will be held virtually due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. The ceremony marks the award show's 20th year on air and the 40th anniversary of Black Entertainment Television, as well as the first-ever virtual ceremony in its history.
